The Pool Optisport

3 pools. 1 for very little kids, one for kids, and one for swimming and diving. Also 1 nice slide. Pools are nice, but the place itself is very old. You can not sit at the snack bar if you want lunch, the tables are old and broken, I a single sunumbrella to eat under the shade. The food is expensive and not good. Chips and kasssoufflé were undercooked. Chips were more than 3€ for a very small. This place needs improvement but had lots of potential.

If you're in Breda and it's a warm day, I strongly recommend you check this place out!! They have two big pools and one smaller shallow pool for little kids. One big pool has three diving boards and swimming lanes and the other has sports nets and stuff for generally playing around in. They also have a big, four lane water slide and this giant bouncy cushion thing. There's plenty of space to lie around in the sun or shade, whatever you prefer. Also the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. I arrived with a loaded bicycle and hiking bag and Rick and Ingrid really helped me out with what to do with it while I was there. They have a gated space for bicycles and the day I was there a nice fellas called Wolka was on the gate and he made me feel very confident about leaving my bike with all the gear on and kept an eye on it for me. They also have volleyball areas and good changing and showering facilities. If the sun is out in Breda it's the only place to be!

It's a nice openair swimming pool with different pools available. Only issue for me was that I couldn't find any changing rooms with doors on (and the same goes for the showers). There's no family changing area so trying to get toddlers/babies changed can be difficult. The area could do with a little modernisation (especially the changing area) but it's a nice day to spend a few hours. There is a cafe onsite but it's only open during busy periods. There's also lockers by the reception desk when you come in. Would i come back? Yes. But I'd make sure that I brought more towels, changed at home first and wasn't too fussed about people seeing me in the nip.
